Gravesham Borough Council, in partnership with ASCP, has implemented MBS, a resident-focused app and digital platform that transforms building safety management. Residents can access critical safety information, log concerns, and receive real-time updates, while landlords, contractors, and the Fire and Rescue Service gain centralised visibility of key documents such as personal evacuation plans. Through training, feedback, and ongoing platform development, MBS strengthens resident engagement, compliance oversight, and operational efficiency across the Council’s housing portfolio.

Supported by sustainability-linked finance and transparent reporting, its approach delivers measurable carbon reduction, healthier homes, and stronger communities—setting a new benchmark for intelligent, purpose-led housing innovation.
Our sector-leading, innovative, data-driven initiative transformed QA by embedding a dynamic risk matrix and tailored scorecards. These tools prioritise high-risk complaints, helping ensure we consistently deliver correct customer outcomes. This proactive, intelligence-led model replaced random sampling, improving audit precision, service quality, and compliance. Real-time visuals and monthly updates enable responsive audit planning. We’ve also introduced second-line monitoring by accredited residents, adding valuable customer insight. The model has delivered measurable improvements, empowered staff, and enhanced outcomes.
Following the merger of Southern Housing Group and Optivo, Southern Housing successfully unified systems and processes through its Integration and Transformation (I&T) programme.
